Section 508 Compliance Document Creation Services

by Brad Anderson

Section 508 was recently passed by Congress. This Section provides “Federal Employees with disabilities [shall] have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to the access and use by Federal employees who are not individuals with disabilities.”

Government agencies are now in need of expert advice and assistance to convert documents to comply with this statue. It is also imperative to establish a system that ensures future documents will meet Section 508 compatability standards.

We at Beyond Print are well versed in converting documents to comply with Section 508. We can ensure that your current documents are formatted to Section 508 standards. Additionally, we will help you set up a program to ensure that your future publications are completed with ease and to Section 508 specifications, including:

  • Text equivalent for every non-text element should be available
  • Equivalent alternatives for any multimedia presentation shall be synchronized with the presentation.
