Introduction to Single-Sourcing

Single-sourcing allows you to author your content in a single format, but then distribute that content in multiple formats. For example, you compose all of your documentation in FrameMaker and then distribute it in print, printable-PDF, online-PDF, HTML, and HTML Help. In doing so, you only need to author your content once and then easily distribute it in multiple formats from that single-source.

The standard edition of WebWorks Publisher ships with every copy of FrameMaker 6.0. With this program, you can easily single-source any of your documents from FrameMaker. Our custom classes on WebWorks Publisher, show you how to use the standard edition with FrameMaker to do some simple single-sourcing. We also offer custom classes on WebWorks Publisher Professional Edition which allow you to customize your own WebWorks templates for high-end single-sourcing solutions.
