Introduction to PatternStream

Pat­tern­Stream allows you to quickly, effi­ciently, and cost-effectively pub­lish doc­u­ments such as cat­a­logs, direc­to­ries, parts man­u­als, finan­cial infor­ma­tion, year books, sched­ules, etc. auto­mat­i­cally from the infor­ma­tion in your database(s).

Pat­tern­Stream is the patented tech­nol­ogy that allows infor­ma­tion in a database(s) to be pub­lished with FrameMaker. Unlike any other method of data­base pub­lish­ing, Pat­tern­Stream allows you to query your database(s) to get infor­ma­tion and pub­lish directly to FrameMaker.

Most data­base pub­lish­ing tech­niques require the use of an inter­me­di­ary markup lan­guage (such as ASCII or MIF). Pat­tern­Stream is a FrameMaker plug-in that allows direct com­mu­ni­ca­tion with any data­base that gets the infor­ma­tion and then for­mats the infor­ma­tion on the fly, directly in FrameMaker.
